The month of February is known to be the love month. Flowers and chocolates are everywhere. Love is surely in the air. For the singles, this is the most dreaded month, while for the double (lovers), it is a celebration month. Most of the time, couples really spend for it. Husbands buying chocolates and flowers to their wives or a time to go on a special travel.
Though celebrations can be done simply, most often than not, it is expensive as chocolates, flowers and the like are on high demand thus they can be pricey. So instead of spending much on Valentine's day, why not make extra money? This is what my wife and I do every February:

"Selling chocolate flowers and hearts!"
My wife and I have been doing this sideline business for more than 3 years already every February and so far, there's really a substantial extra income in it.
The cost of creating chocolate flowers and hearts are so cheap that you can actually sell it at almost to double the cost of your raw materials. The steps in creating these chocolates are also so simple. However, I may not be as detailed as my wife but let me just give you the idea.

Steps in making chocolate hearts and roses
1. Melt chocolate bars
You can buy chocolate bars that are pretty cheap. They come in different colors like brown, red, or green. Or you can buy white chocolates and just add food coloring. Chop and melt chocolate bars until they become paste-like ready to be poured into molds.

2. Pour chocolate into molds
There are different designs to choose from but ofcourse, to fit it for the season, we use hearts or rose molds.

3. Let cool and package it with a red ribbon

a. schools - students go "ga-ga" when their crushes give them this simple gift.
b. near church - fit for families, husbands who almost forgotten the date.
c. workplace - for those in the BPO industry, you can sell it to them like at + 200% profit! (I had a friend who've done that: saying, "instead of going down the building (their workplace is located at nth floor), buy it from me." Ofcourse, for convenience sake, her office mates did buy.
d. factory/plant - production workers amazingly buy a lot of these chocolates!
On top of working hard, you can also work smart by dealing with distributors like friends who own a canteen, clinics, or stores that you can just leave it to them and display.
Always, every before or after Feb.14, all stocks are sold out. Then you choose what to do with the profit: you go enjoy or save up for another round of business venture.
So, instead of spending much on Valentine's day, why not make money?
