I always get inspired reading how people make money online and got me involved in blogging few years back in the hopes of making money. I did some research, started few posts and got my Google adsense approved. I was excited to make money. But just like any endeavor, after few months, I was earning like less than a dollar. Wow! Exciting and I quitted.

Few years have passed, I went into business and experienced my lowest moment: sales were low and expansion was stagnant. I went back into writing and it ignited the passion within. If you can not, then maybe it wasn't really your passion to begin with. Blogging can be a self-assessment tool.

I am in the financial services industry and writing a blog about personal finance is quite a challenging feat. Through blogging, it forces you to do more research before posting. Inevitably, you increase your knowledge. Blogging sharpens your saw. I love reading about finance blogs and I learn a lot, sometimes forgetting its already dinner time. However, when researching your passion and you feel bored or sleepy about your thing, then maybe it wasn't really your passion. At the same time, you might even discover other things that really interest you and maybe can develop a passion with it.

Make your passion your profession or turn your passion into profit is truly easier said than done but through blogging it could be possible. Obscurity is the enemy towards achieving success in business or in any endeavor, and your goal is always to get known in the marketplace. With all the social media tools we have now (like facebook, instagram, twitter, google+), we have all the marketing tools we can maximize. Let's take the passion of baking for example: make a blog about pastries, its differences, health benefits and the services you offer. Market it via social media, do a way where people can order online and you just turn your passion into profit. That doesn't include learning about ads for your blogs, affiliate marketing and/or selling ebooks online.
