Lakang Lang: VISION

Yes. Here it is.The first post of the Month of May's Series "Lakang Lang: Take that First Step and Win in all aspects of Life."

If you want to win, the first step you need to do is you got to have a VISION. You got to know what you really want, you got to visualize it, you got to define your own success! 

How?

First, let's talk about vision. According to online dictionary: "is a vivid mental image produced by the imagination. A vivid, imaginative conception or anticipation."

Sounds complicated! (>.<) I should avoid googling a lot. Anyway, to make it simpler, let me ask this question: "How do you see yourself 3 to 5 years from now?"

• In terms of career, do you see yourself as a manager and handling bigger responsibilities? 
• In finance, do you see yourself having millions in your investments and savings account or millions in debt? if you're in debt, do you see yourself debt-free or still couldn't think of a way out from debt?
• In love and family, do you see yourself married to the guy/woman that you will live for the rest of your life with? Do you see great things happening in your family And have a hope of a brighter future for your kids? 

Vision is something you see for yourself or your loved ones for the long term. 

Having a clear vision relates to having a clear goal in life. Every time you wake up, you already know what you are going to do. 

For me, having a VISION is very important: 

1. You value time. If you have a clear vision, it means you know your long term goals, meaning every little thing that you are doing right now, should be related to how you see yourself in the future. You don't waste time, because you know you have a goal.

For me, I see myself as someone who inspires people, probably a speaker. So the tiny steps I'm doing right now is my blogging, soon i'll be writing books, and hopefully become a speaker. With that I can inspire a lot of people. :) 

How about you? Is what you're doing right now in line with how you see yourself? 

2. Vision keeps you going! Do you know why some relationships end? The vision is looong gone. The vision of the couple blurs, that over long term they no longer see themselves a perfect couple with all the fights, misunderstandings and arguments. Do you know why some employees resign? They don't see themselves growing in the company in terms of personal growth, income or position. Do you know why some businesses fail? They gave up because they can not see themselves profitable with all the competition everywhere. 

You see vision is very important. If its clear, it keeps you going, you are happy and excited with what you are doing. But if it is not, every day seems to be meaningless, a waste of time. Trust me Iv'e been there. (Hehe I'm gonna blog about this soon, please remind me). The worst is, if you don't have any vision at all. You are like a fallen leaf, where the river just take you anywhere without any clear direction.

How's your vision? Is it clear, blurred or none at all?

3. Your vision tells you who you are. If you think small, you will be small. If you see yourself, successful, you will be. Law of attraction. However, as they say, if you have big dreams/vision, then you must also envision and be prepared of the big challenges and failures as well. Its part of the package! You cant expect to put little effort and achieve huge success. It is proportional. So if you are down right now, there's no other way but for you to go up. 

So what's your vision? Small, medium, or large, I mean huge? Do you see yourself failing and standing up, emerging successful?

The first step in winning should always start with a vision. With vision: 

1. You value time.

2. It keeps you going and

3. It tells you who you are.

Ask yourself questions about all life's aspects: career, finance, love, family, health, spiritual and others. Have a vision for yourself and define how you want to win in each one of them.
