It took me quite a while to finish my drawing for this blog post. Hehe In fact, I'm not satisfied. Anyway, for today's continuation of the series: Lakang Lang, the topic is about 7-Scale Balance.
Never heard about that? Yeah, because I just made it!
Okay! Let's take another step forward.
I am born in October and my zodiac sign is Libra. BALANCE. I don't want to brag about it, but they say I am the most balanced among my siblings. Thin yet handsome *ehem*, average height but smart *ehem*ehem*, silent and observant yet when made to talk, talks direct to the point. I get along with all of them, I can connect.
So what's the connection with that about today's topic? Nothing. I just want to talk about myself. Hehe
Well, enough of that. Let's get into business...
Winning in Life, you got to be balanced! You can't be too spiritual, but without money. How could you help the needy? You can't be fully engaged in your work, don't bring work at home. It's Family time! (For more examples see: Life: the Real School)

Here comes in my 7-Scale Balance. The 7 scales represent the 7 aspects/dimensions in life that I believe are most important: (1) Career, (2) Finance, (3) Family, (4) Social, (5) Health, (6) Spiritual and (7) Passion or Self-Development. Each scale a certain weight is place to balance the whole figure. If one scale weighs heavily, the whole figure collapses. Ideally, they should all be balanced but in reality they're not. The important thing however, is do you allocate at least TIME for each aspect?
I want you to check your 7-Scale balance. Compute in a week, how many hours do you spend for each aspect. Draw it, graph it, and see if you are in balance. Seeing the whole picture makes you realize what aspect in life you need to adjust in order for you to gain balance. As for my case, normally career contains the largest chunk of the figure, it is our source of income that provides all of the other aspects. However, I still need to work out for my health (I'm starting to do few exercises everyday) and social (need to reconnect with my friends and have some chitchat, you can't live life alone you know. Hehe.)
How about you?
Now we understand the power of vision, we have goals for each aspect and now we see how much we allocate for each aspect, next and last topic for the series: Lakang Lang. The Rule of 5: time to move forward and win!
