While I was caught in
traffic, I decided to be productive and listened to an audio talk of T harv
Eker, the millionaire mind guy. He was interviewed, "How to get
rich?" and his answer was very straight and simple it blew my mind.
So, how does one get
rich?

It is important that we
realize that getting rich is already the result, and that we need to focus on
creation instead. Creating wealth or being rich is almost synonymous with
having a lot of money. By reverse engineering, how does one get money? Do you
get it from the stars or grounds? No! You get money from other people. But why
would someone give you money? Because you are handsome and cute? I have been
one for a long time and I haven't got a dime so I guess its also a big NO. The
only reason people will give you money is when you are able to help them solve
a problem. Entrepreneurs are called problem-solvers. Being able to offer
solution to people's problems (big or small), a lot are willing to pay a price.
2.
Be very good at what you do
As entrepreneurs, we
need to know what are the things or services that we are good at and that we
can offer to people. Example: as a writer, you can sell books that can help
people. As a doctor, people are willing to pay to be cured. As an engineer,
build something that improves people's lifestyle and so on. We need to be
masters in our craft. The more we become better and better, the more valuable
we become, the more people are willing to pay a higher price.
3.
Marketing is a Must
What good is it having
the best product or service if people don't know you. We may be able to help a
few people but we can't get rich if we don't deliver massive value in the
marketplace. Therefore, marketing is a must!
Be willing to promote yourself, be willing to get known and be willing to
accept a lot of criticism, and later they will admire you. And once a lot of
people know you, we will be able to help a lot of them and money will just
follow.
4.
The Secret of the Rich: System
After understanding that
we make money by helping people, we need to master our craft. And with enough
marketing efforts, we will be able to reach enough people. But becoming wealthy
is truly helping a lot of people and I mean a lot! And we can not help
thousands of thousands of people with us alone because we have limited time.
Thus, one must learn to systemize the business in order that the business would
work even without us. This is the secret of most (if not all) wealthy people,
systemization. Because systemization would lead to duplication without
limitation. This is what is happening to Mc Donald's, Starbucks, WallMart and
other giant distribution companies. The more distribution: branches and outlets
you have, the more and more people you can help and serve. And that is when one
becomes very wealthy.
