Life Lesson behind The Story of the Kung Fu Master

Once upon a time, high up in the mountains, there lived the greatest kung fu master of the time. Martial arts students all over the land came to learn from him. They worked hard, practiced day and night, and went through great sacrifices and pain. Many of them became famous and successful.

One day, a monk stopped by to visit him and asked, “Master, you produce so many successful disciples. Your reputation has spread all over. You should be very proud and happy, yet you seem to be sad and unsettled.”

The master replied, “Sir, all my life, I trained thousands of students. I found most of them are good. Majority of them learn to be the fastest, strongest, and most powerful fighters. They come down the mountain to become generals, officials, and great martial artists. Some remember me and pay me a visit to offer gifts and thanks. They learned everything from me – except they don’t want to do what I do. No one wants to come up here and replace me!”

It's nice to be inspired. It's great to be motivated. But how about you motivate and inspire people? What you learn, you share. You inspire them and give them the chance to live better. At the same time, you encourage them to do the same.

The greatest reward is seeing them succeed as they are motivated, the gratitude and the impact you have made in their lives and seeing them doing the same thing, inspiring and motivating people too.

Don't just sit down and listen, be the speaker. Don't just be inspired. Inspire!

Life is full of lessons. Learn and share.
